Secondnature sculptures feature in The Alpina Hotel's award winning interior.

It's just over a year since we completed the commission of 52 steel wall sculptures for the bathrooms at the Alpina Hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland. The hotel has just won the European Hotel Design of the Year Award and Interior Design of the Year Award for bedrooms and bathrooms.

Sculpture at Chelsea Flower Show

It's great to see the focus on sculpture at this years RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Amongst the more traditional figurative bronzes is this striking piece called the Rush of Nature by artist Marc Quinn. It is also made traditionally in cast bronze but has been painted in layers of strongly contrasting colours which when sanded back reveal a psychedelic spectrum of colour that Quinn wanted to convey how energy and heat appear on a scan.

A new website and a new blog for secondnature

Welcome to my new blog and website. After a busy year working on several commissions I've updated the website and blog to showcase new work and latest commissions. Last year we completed an edition of 52 wall sculptures for the Alpina Hotel in Switzerland and created 10 sculptures for a private residence in Paris.

You can see the new website at Older news can still be seen at, but this will now become Susan's own blog
