New work in Woodstock

On Saturday we went to Oxfordshire to deliver some of my sculptures to the Junction Art Gallery. The Gallery is a hidden gem in the beautiful market town of Woodstock, next to Blenheim Palace. Showing a variety of work by British-based artists and makers, owner Kate exhibits an inspiring collection of contemporary studio ceramics, glass, jewellery, paintings, prints and sculpture. New collections arrive throughout the year and regular exhibitions highlight new talent alongside established artists.  The Gallery will also be showing my work at Reading Contemporary Art Fair from 22nd-24th April 2016.

Winner of Notting Hill Housing art commission announced

I am delighted to announce that I have been chosen as the winner of the Brackenbury House art commission. Thank you to all who voted! The competition to create an artwork for the new Notting Hill Housing development in West London was run in conjunction with art consultants Works in Print.
Katie Bond, Director of Notting Hill Home Ownership said, "Ian's sculpture is a great example of how a delicately creative design can still have a bold impact, both visually and emotionally. We are really pleased the public chose such a well thought out and attractive design that will sit so well in the Brackenbury Square development."
The artwork will be unveiled in November.

Finalists for Notting Hill Housing Commission announced!

I’m delighted to have been selected as one of five finalists to create a wall mounted artwork for a new Notting Hill Housing Association development.

Voting is open to the public and is now live and can be viewed at this link:

Feel free to share with whomever you wish. You can view the artist's design proposal by clicking on the image, then simply click the heart symbol next to the one you want to vote for. Voting is open until Friday 31st July and the winner will be announced week commencing 3rd August.

Notting Hill Housing, the developers of a new collection of stylish luxury apartments at Brackenbury Square, are commissioning a wall-mounted sculpture for the public-facing exterior wall on the corner of Goldhawke Road and Hammersmith Grove.

The new artwork will be unveiled this winter. Both the completed Brackenbury Square apartments and the winning artwork will form a new piece of Hammersmith and Fulham's history. Once part of pasture land available to shepherds travelling to Smithfields Market, the area is now home to a contemporary and stylish new landmark, changing the face of the local landscape.
